Had enough of Ines Sainz? Neither have we. Great article today coming out of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Typically Pennsylvannia is a little out-of-reach for The Digest to comment on, but the article pertains to the lovely Ines Sainz and we figured seeing as how that's a Jet's story, we could get away with mentioning it.
"The road environment is very different than our friendly home crowd, who when I looked up, half the stadium was gone when we were up 21 points early fourth quarter, which I wasn't so happy about," Tom Brady said. "I don't think the Jets fans leave early. They're going to be loud the whole game. Communication is always an issue."
Happy Hump Day everybody.... just a friendly reminder, "Hump Day" is a phrase not to be taken literally, despite what that old lady tried to do to you on the subway this morning. She was probably just overexcited about all the primary voting yesterday. Exciting stuff, if you've been following the Kelly Ayotte vs. Ovide Lamontagne Thrilla In New Hampshilla. For the rest of us, it was just another day, albeit with a lot more rubbish & flyers on the ground... Some quick-hits from around the City this morning:
By Vincent Z. Mercogliano -- Forgive me if I sound a bit agitated, but this had to be one of the most frustrating games for the Jets that I've seen in years. Let's state the obvious: The Jets' defense, even with NT Kris Jenkins lost for the season to an ACL tear -- again -- is among the best in the league. The Jets' offense, well, they are nowhere close. The defense was the tone-setting, run-stuffing, hit-you-in-the-month type of unit that we have come to expect. Well, except for the penalties. But we'll get more into that in a moment.
By David Serraro -- How many receptions did it take for the Jets to realize Darrelle Revis needed to cover Anquan Boldin? It seems Bolden’s seven catches for 110 yards didn’t do it, because none of those catches were on Revis. What I watched all night were two overmatched corners doing a poor job trying to keep up with Bolden. These two corners I’m calling out are the overhyped Antonio Cromartie, and first round draft pick Kyle Wilson. My goodness, Cromartie and Wilson made me want Tannenbaum to give Lito Sheppard a call back! And fans please, don’t let Cromarties acrobatic interception fool you. He played an awful game.

For better or worse, they have been the most talked about franchise in all of football, and I’m not really sure what to make of it. Coming off of a surprise trip to the AFC championship game, they made some bold moves in the offseason that has made them a trendy Super Bowl pick. But any true Jet fan knows that the Jets are far from trendy. They’ve endured countless heartbreaks and know better than to buy into the hype. Yet, the hype has taken a life of it’s own thanks to a brash-talking head coach, a star-studded roster and a certain reality TV show.
