Rex Ryan and the Jets take a lot of crap because of how much they run their collective mouths. Well guess what; the Giants are just as guilty, if not more so, and Super Bowl week gave a plethora of examples.
Earlier this month, the 2012 National Baseball Hall of Fame class was announced, and on Saturday, we will learn the newest members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This time of year always draws a crowd of voices debating not only who belongs in the halls of fame and who does not, but also what the standards for induction should be—what it means (or should mean) for someone to be a hall of famer. Since the only opinions that end up counting are those of actual voters, what everyone else is really debating are the standards of their own personal halls of fame.

This is surprising. That’s the best way to put it when hearing and reading about good New York Jets fans rooting for the hated New England Patriots in this year’s Super Bowl. Let’s also say this is embarrassing for Jets fans. To root for any rival is ridiculous, especially when it’s Bill Belicheat and the Patri-rats, is unacceptable. This Super Bowl match-up offers a no-win situation for this tortured fanbase, just as it did during the 2007 season. No matter who wins, Jets fans will lose. It will be tough watching the game knowing one of these teams will end the night as Champions.
The Giants are just ten days away from playing the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Will these be the last ten days that Osi Umenyiora is a New York Giant? And could he be on the New York Jets wish-list?
