Just when you thought the Linsanity had hit its peak, when all logic and sports-sense pointed to the inevitable conclusion that it couldn’t possibly get any crazier than it’s been so far, that the Linderella story surely couldn’t continue, the undrafted couch-crashing Harvard grad who never even won Ivy League Player of the Year and is TAKING THIS CITY BY STORM hits a Game Winning Shot as time expires to send the New York Knicks to a sixth straight win.
Only Toronto? Pssh. Two weeks ago, who would have imagined the Knicks winning six straight at all? That’s almost as improbable as the Jeremy Lin story overall. Almost. As Leslie Monteiro pointed out on twitter (having trouble finding the exact page, sry), “What should not be lost about Lin’s heroics last night was Lin made shots to cut the deficit that set the stage for him to shoot game-winner.” He didn’t play flawlessly, but he put them in a position to win… or more specifically, he put them in a position for HIM to get them the win

On a much more somber note, a reminder from the New York Knicks Original Superstar on why he was out the past week. Stoudemire’s brother was killed in a car crash earlier this month.
