Five things I think I think involving the biggest NY sports stories of the week. Share your thoughts.
The Miami Heat heard enough of Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks the past few weeks. They were clearly tired of it They expressed their frustration by taking it out on the poor Knickerbockers last night in their 102-82 blowout victory at American Airlines Center. They played well for all four quarters, never letting up and turning what was one a contest into a destruction.
My, how time flies. Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of Carmelo Anthony being traded to the New York Knicks. It seemed like he was acquired only yesterday, not last year. He played his 51st game as a Knick last night in New Yorks 99-82 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. To say the first year has been interesting is putting it lightly. Anthony knew he would go through ups and downs while playing in New York, but no way could he have imaged he'd become such a polarizing figure so quickly. He figured he would get at least a full year honeymoon before some Knicks fans have turned on him, but that ended when Jeremy Lin’s emergence took place few weeks ago.
